Bringing the world of mitochondria research to you at UCLA!
UCLA is hosting a one day Symposium with the goal of bringing together professionals from academia and industry to discuss exciting research involving mitochondria. Come and enjoy a networking lunch, display your mitochondrial work during the Poster Session, listen to the latest ongoing research from UCLA and other world-renowned experts. Learn skills that every young scientist should have in our; "When and How to Approach Pharma/Industry Workshop; sponsored by the UCLA Technology Development Group.

The 3rd Annual UCLA Mitochondria Symposium is open to basic and clinical investigators, undergraduate and graduate students, PhD candidates, Post-docs, faculty, industry leaders and all other members of the scientific community interested in mitochondria.

We have limited spots for talks, a selection will be performed!
UCLA will cover the cost for the first 250 registrations, which includes all sessions, workshops, lunch and dinner. Registration is required. Registration Closes Thursday, October 31st or when the spots have been filled.

UCLA Volunteer Mentors Wanted for the UCLA Metabolism Theme S.P.A.R.K. 101 Program
(Students Potential Advancement with Research Knowledge)
Must be a UCLA student, post-doc, or faculty. Mentor youth (approx 15 years old) from Geffen Academy in mitochondria science. Training will be provided.
Must commit to meeting bi-weekly on Wednesday afternoon approx 4:00 pm from 9/11 - 11/8. The students, with the help of their mentor, will present a poster at the 3rd Annual UCLA Mitochondria Symposium (late afternoon).
